I have a plan to make it to become a famous actor and screenwriter. But I could use some tips and information?

Script Writing Tips
Amine A asked:

I have a plan to become a famous actor and screenwriter. here’s the plan I am at the moment writing two scripts. Both with great premises I believe and I have shared some of the script and premise with other writers and regular people. And they all like the premise of both story’s now I do not wish to share the premise of these script’s in fear of plagiarism. Now here’s what I want to do. I know the chances of a script being bought by a studio or someone big in hollywood and made into a movie are greater than just trying to become a famous actor. So what I want to do is once I finish the first script I plan to sell it to a studio or a powerful person in hollywood. But I have only two requests for when im selling the first script.1# I to be in the movie but only in a small cameo appearance kinda of like being an extra just to say a line or two.2# in the ending credits for the movie I want my picture to be shown under written by. My thinking is that after Im known in hollywood it will be a lot easier for me to become an actor since ill be known in hollywood. Then after some hard work and after i get a couple roles in other projects I plan to sell my next script with me attached to it for the first lead. Now that’s my plan in a nutshell. Im currently 17 years old and I hope to achieve this by my late twenty’s. Now I have a couple questions and I need some help.

1. What are my chances?

2.What is the best way to increase my chances?

3.Who are the best people in the industry to contact in order to get my script out there?

4.Are there any other steps I should take in order to achieve my goals?

5.Who should I meet and contact?

6.Where should I go?

7.What is the best way to prepare and have an edge over other writers?

And I could use any other shared advice, wisdom and experiences so pleese share all.

Tips and suggestions for approaching a person with a pitch or writing sample?

Script Writing Tips
Checkers- the -Wolf asked:

I asked this question before but didn’t get a lot of replies so here it goes… again…

I’ll be attending the san diego comic con next month and am really looking forward to it. Anyway this year’s theme is focused on writers. I plan to take some writing samples with me as well as post some of my work on my blog and we-book page. I also made some business cards last fall that I’ve printed and handed out.

For me when I meet someone new I’m shy and nervous at first but I do relax once I’ve been talking for a while.

Basically, I’m looking to promote my work but I don’t want to seem pushy or desperate. As for written work I write mostly fiction but I’ve been working on two scripts, one for a cartoon pilot and an animated feature film as well as a memoir and movie reviews.

But I could use some help on this.

Any suggestions?

I have a book which i think may be worth a lot of money, how can I find out its true value?

Tina O asked:

The book is called The 1000 Year conspiracy “Secret Germany Behind the Mask (historical roots of Nazism)” by Winkler. It’s a book written during WWII and discusses the development of Nazism in Germany. The book is really an amazing historical read and i felt while reading it that there might be some importance to it. When I looked up the book I can find numerous reviews of the book and downloads of the script but no actual copies of the book itself. I bought the book at a little used book shop, it’s ominous title and beautiful black leather binding really drew me to it. I only paid $50 for it and I don’t care if it’s worth less I just want to know how important it really is.

I always thought I was right handed, but now I’m confused. Help?

micky_baxter asked:

I always thought I was right handed -even though I used to switch a lot when I was little- but now I’ve started writing with my left hand without meaning to. Like I was writing a story earlier and then I noticed my hand hurt. And then I realized I was using my left hand which freaked me out. My lefty printing is as good as righty and my drawing is okay but my script needs a lot of work.

I don’t seem to be losing any dexterity in my right hand and I haven’t tried to switch or anything.

Do you have any idea why this is happening, and/or any good tips for making my lefty script better?

PS: I remember liking writing with my left hand a little better when I was little but using my right hand was just as easy and not annoying and then after a while my left hand became kind of useless. My dad is left handed if that makes a difference.

PPS: I have been told all my life that I think in a ‘left handed’ way, whatever that means.
I know what being ambidextrous is but I’m wondering why it’s changing right now when I’m 16 years old.
More answers please?

Please help me find a link to Quatrain that Nostradamus predicted would end hungar and war?

Script Writing secrets
Peggy C asked:

I am writing a movie script, and came across a Quatrain by Nostradamus years ago that I need the exact words from, as I am using that for the premise of the movie. Basically, the Quatrain said that an individual would travel into heaven and get the secret that would end hunger and pestilence (or possibly war) on the earth. I spent 17 years pondering this question, and studying screenwriting and believe a movie like this could change the world, or at least the way individuals see their purpose here, so it’s really important to me and I thank you in advance.

Some search words would probably be “travel into heaven” combined with famine and pestilence.

Thank you in advance for (hopefully) a direct link where I can use the words verbatim in the script.
I read through that link and the quote I need isn’t there. There are a lot of predictions about famine and pestilence, and ones that use the word heaven, but the one I need specifically says “travel into heaven”
