What can I do to get my script made into a movie?

Script Writing Tips
solidsnakegriffin asked:

I spend a lot of time doing creative writing and have developed a lot of short stories and stories I would like to make into a short film.

I have my script but I lack the personnel and resources to make it on my own. Are there any kind of low budget production companies that hire out for this kind of work?

How much could something like that cost?

Does anybody else have any tips? I just want to get something off the ground that I can submit to local amateur film festivals.

Thanks.
without giving too much away.. i had envisioned it as maybe a 5-8 minute long short just about university life, social interaction and social behavior with a unique concept of conveying it .. that’s about all i can say without blowing the rest of the story….

What type of projector do I use for old 50′s-70′s home movies?

movies and film
Daegred asked:

I just inherited a lot of photos and old home made movie film from my grandparents but I have no idea what type of projector I need to buy in order to view the movies. I don’t even know where to start.. I’m not sure what type the film is. The notes that describe what’s on the film have dates around 50′s-70′s if that would help.. even a little information would be welcomed!

Filming tips, on a screenplay, ANGLES, LIGHTING, ECT?

Script Writing Tips
firefly asked:

Hey! I am in 10th grade and currently writing, directing, and producing a short film. It will range between 25-30 minutes. I have the script completed and am looking forward to filming this baby, but need some help.

I want this thing to look as professional as I can make it. I have some video editing software, it isn’t Final Cut Pro, but it gets special effects and the like done.

I was wondering if anyone had any sites or tips that they would advise me to follow when filming this. I’ve already looked around on the internet and read a lot of good advice I wouldn’t have thought of, such as using external mics, headphones in the camcorder, and 3 pt lighting. I’m pretty much a noob when it comes to this filiming.

Any advice for this thing would be appreciated. The script, I think, came out great. I’ve gotten some advice from friends, and I reworked it so it’s a real thriller. There will be a foot chase/ car chase in a downtown city area. Any advice?

THANK YOU!

What is the best way to tell a very entertaining story?

Story & Character Development
Answerer asked:

I’ve found that the way to charisma is using a lot of emotion. You can gain a lot of friends and make a lot of people inspired with a properly phrased story, but misphrase the story and you’ll find yourself to be the only one conscious at the end of it. What’s the way to tell a really interesting, engaging story?

How to write and actually finish a story?

Story & Character Development
Khroxas asked:

I’m 15 and I really love writing stories, but for some reason I could never finish them. I want to know how to actually finish the stories I write. I like writing more fantasy-ish stories with a lot of characters and some big organization of bad guys.Stuff like that. I really don’t plan out my stories. I just go along with what i’m writing and make the characters up as I go along. Any techniques or tips to writing a good story with a good plot?

I need semi-professional advice on writing a script?

Script Writing secrets
Kristen asked:

I write a lot of realistic fiction in my free time, and in this past month I’ve been working on a very awesome story, but this on I can’t put all down on paper the way I usually do. I went to a trusted teacher for advice, I told them that the dilemma was that I could see it all in my head but not in words as usual, so they told me to write a script for it.

Problem is, I don’t know even the basics for writing a script…

Is there anyone out there trustworthy to keep the storyline secret, and good with scripts that is willing to correspond to help me out with this?
Please contact me at kristen111695@yahoo.com if you have any interest.

I’ve got a lot of characters and I just don’t know how to put it all together. getting started is the hardest part and that’s what I need help on. I’m not sure what to work on first , the characters or the story. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
