does anyone know how to thread movie film into a projector?

When I worked at a theatre we threaded with the sound bar “up”. This meant when it goes from and back to the reel it should be on the top side of the reel. It’s probably different for each projector. Try it the other way. As long as it’s in the slots correctly you’re not going to ruin it by experiementing.
Well, clearly it is the other way from the way you have it.
Have you tried flipping the screen around?
How about holding the projector up side down…..becareful…. it gets hot.
