The Expendables

The Expendables is an action movie that was created by the action star Sylvester Stallone, the movies cast is packed full of famous action movie stars and theres nothing to it but sheer entertainment for every action movie fan out there. If you love action movies, come see this box office movie ASAP!

Hmmnnbut then again, its not a perfect film. This upcoming movie demands that you set aside some of your reservations about quality and just accept it as it is because it certainly has some faults.

The film is obviously held back by its low budget and theres way too much CGI blood. The characters are not well defined and the acting is so-so in many cases. However, Stallone, the master of gore and violence, is so good at putting together action that it makes the movie worth seeing. And then theres the movies cast of Austin, Li, Lundgren, Crews, Willis, Schwarzenegger, Rourke, Couture and Statham that.need I say more?

So it was at first worrisome that perhaps the only good thing about The Expendables was its cast. But no worries. This movie would have been just fine with a bunch of unknown actors. It turns out that the fabulous cast doesnt affect The Expendables as much as one might think, although its certainly a thrill to see them all in one movie.

The script revolves around a bunch of mercenary soldiers who go to South America to overthrow a dictator. Its not a strong script but, hey, this is an action movie. The script allows for plenty of action by our action heroes and thats what counts. They get the bad guys with explosions and stabbings and all sorts of other violence.

Unfortunately, it takes a long time to get to the meat of the movie, the action scenes, and theres way too much CGI blood and flames. The Expendables tends to be reminiscent of a movie on the Sci-Fi channel and this is not a good thing.

But if youre into enormous amounts of blood, gore, shooting, slashing, grenades, severed limbs and just plain old violence, this is the show for you! By the end of the movie youll feel knee deep in blood and body parts. And that cast alone is worth the wait on line in the heat of summer.

Unfortunately for Stallone, the studio thats doing most of the financing for the Expendables, Nu Image, is known chiefly for its low budget movies that usually never even make the theaters they just go straight to video stores. The Expendables is not going to do anything to give Nu Image a new image.

If youre a big fan of blood, violence and action, slashed throats, body parts and death in all its bloodiest forms, get yourself to your local theater now to see Sylvester Stallones project on the new movies list today: The Expendables!

Entertainment Industry Success

Is Your Agency Licensed?

An actor or model always has to keep an eye out for the scam. Many talent agencies sweet-talk aspiring folks with promises of work and success, assuming they pay the price. Many good people get caught up in this kind of thing, and dreams get shoved aside. But fortunately there are ways to tell the good ones from the bad ones.

Honest agencies are fully licensed, they’ve got years of experience and a client list with names you know. Find one of these and you can begin to relax a bit. Trust is the first important foundation to set. It’ll also help you when it comes time to get those model composites made. These are like your business cards, and while they’ll cost you money to have made, the agency can get you set up so they can start shopping you around.

Secrets for Acting Success

Guess what the secret ingredient is in the whole industry? It’s a strong work ethic. No one gets ahead on charisma and confidence along. You’ve gotta be willing to put in more hours than anyone to get yourself ahead in the business. There’s a whole lot to do, believe me, and you can’t be waiting for someone else to take you by the hand.

The next challenge is to think about what kind of work you actually want to start working. This isn’t a decision set in stone, but it’ll help the agency, and you, if you know you want to be in the next hit TV show or film, if you want to dominate a runway, lend your voice to radio, or be cast in a music video. Watch for explosions. And listen, you may not know what you want to do going into the biz, but that’s something that you and your agency, and maybe a chance meeting or two, will sort out in time.

Navigating the Tricky Industry

The right look for any given job is a tricky thing to find, certainly, but it’s not always exotic faces that casting directors are looking for. Talent agencies will tell you that they want real people, everyday faces, to populate commercials and TV shows. And whether you’re a baby or a grandmother, whether you have experience or not, there’s probably a fit for you somewhere.

There’s really nothing to worry about. If you’re smart, if you work hard, if you find the right agency, you’re well on your way. Those folks can help you with the arcane business of headshots and auditions, and prepare you for that moment when all eyes are on you, and it’s time to go for it.

A Few Of The Greatest Movies From The Talented Actor, Morgan Freeman

One of my absolutely favorite actors of all time is without a doubt Morgan Freeman. Morgan Freeman has been in so many amazing films that the man deserves a separate award from the Academy Awards. Not only has he been in such a high number of quality films, but most of the films he has been in are at the very least, enjoyable movies.

This article will highlight my favorite Morgan Freeman movies of all time.

The first film I will mention just so happens to be my favorite film of all time: The Shawshank Redemption. If you have yet to see this absolutely incredible movie, then it should immediately move up to number one on your list of things to do. This is as good as movies get.

In the film Lucky Number Slevin, Freeman departs from his normal good guy role and plays an evil mob boss. In my opinion this movie is vastly underrated and if you like a good switch and bait story, look no further.

Also on my all time list of favorite Morgan Freeman films is Glory. In this film, which happens to be one of the greatest Civil War movies ever made (if not the greatest), Freeman plays Sergeant Major John Rawlins. An inspirational film to say the least.

Also worth mentioning as far as his films go is The Dark Knight. Director Christopher Nolan is on an absolute roll with his career right now, and fans can only wait to see what he brings us in the third installment of the Batman franchise.

One other film of this incredible actor’s that I feel the need to include on this list is Unleashed, or Danny The Dog. This movie was directed by Danny Boyle, who also directed 28 Days Later, Sunshine, and of course, Slumdog Millionaire.

These are just some of Mr. Freeman’s finest roles and certainly there are others that I have failed to mention.

Gun Training To Perfection

Sherlock Holmes was an intense movie. I was incredibly impressed by many things in the movie, one thing being how observant Sherlock Holmes was. He could walk into a room and notice every tiny detail, no matter how minor it may have seemed. And those minor details usually gave away information that enabled him to solve mysteries and save the day. Wouldn’t it be a dream come true to be able to be like Sherlock Holmes? The exciting news is that now we all can be.

Four Weapons Combat Master, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, has designed a program that teaches us how to be as observant as we want to be. It is called the Color Code of Mental Awareness, and is included in the self defense training courses and gun training courses at his gun training school, Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Ignatius Piazza’s Color Code of Mental Awareness trains the eyes and the mind to become physically and mentally aware of EVERYTHING that is going on. But how can this benefit me if I am not trying to solve mysteries?

Well, let me ask you this. Would it benefit you to have extra reaction time in the event of a dangerous situation? Would it benefit you to have a leg up on an attacker? Would it benefit the people around you if you were more likely to be able to defend them from the bad guys? Would it benefit your family if your chances of survival were increased? If you were able to PREDICT an attack, do you think this would be beneficial to you?

In an attack situation, every second counts. Every FRACTION of a second counts. If you can be so aware of your surroundings that you are able to buy yourself an extra several seconds of reaction time, your chances of escape are greatly increased. Ignatius Piazza will teach you how to obtain this for yourself. His Color Code of Mental Awareness buys people time. Many students that have attended Ignatius Piazza’s gun training courses at Front Sight and participated in this stimulating mental awareness course have reported that they knew an attack was coming BEFORE IT EVEN HAPPENED, thus giving them more time to respond to each situation and increasing positive results.

Other gun training schools may teach you how to shoot a gun, how to hold a gun and how to use a gun for self defense. But how many of them teach this Color Code of Mental Awareness? None! Front Sight teaches all of the things that you need to know about using a gun, plus how to be impressively aware of the surrounding environment. Knowing how to use a gun on a moment’s notice is great. Knowing how to use a gun on a moment’s notice and having extra time to ensure the perfection of the operation is even better. Ignatius Piazza’s gun training courses at Front Sight can and will provide you with everything you need to secure yourself the option of this absolute perfection.
