What can I do to get my script made into a movie?

Script Writing Tips
solidsnakegriffin asked:

I spend a lot of time doing creative writing and have developed a lot of short stories and stories I would like to make into a short film.

I have my script but I lack the personnel and resources to make it on my own. Are there any kind of low budget production companies that hire out for this kind of work?

How much could something like that cost?

Does anybody else have any tips? I just want to get something off the ground that I can submit to local amateur film festivals.

Thanks.
without giving too much away.. i had envisioned it as maybe a 5-8 minute long short just about university life, social interaction and social behavior with a unique concept of conveying it .. that’s about all i can say without blowing the rest of the story….

I’m writing a story and I wanted to know what kind of stories people like the most. Please help me out. Just please don’t write a Vampire Story because so many people have rewritten Twilight and stuff. Anything else.

P.S I am a Twilight Fan so no offense.
Please, nothing mean.

notice wen things are too good to be true?

Script Writing secrets
T-man T asked:

the other day i met this girl and i culd tell it was magical cuz afterwards i culdnt think of anything else
i calld her at a strip mall to hang out but she didnt answer as i put down the fone i saw her in the same pizzeria at the same time in the same mall on the same day
it was like fate
it seemd too good to be true
or wen i walked into a guitar shop to buy a guitar, and there just happened to be someone who was lookin for a bassist for a band, and there i was. PS im still in the band, and wer serious bout makin it!!
so then i thought life is too good to be true sometimes, how things just happen to work out so i thought
wat if someone is like writing a script for my life, its like a soap opera and im the main character
and everyone around me is an actor in this script ther all in on it cept for me. and im brainwashed (to make my “acting” more realistic) so i hav no idea wats goin on, and the set is the whole planet. maybe there are secret cameras everywhere watching me think bout it!
so evryone is like an actor but im the brainwashed guy so all the events that are too good to be true are set up and all my reactions are the most realistic as can be cuz im actually reacting not acting to the set up events
get it?
aiight ppl chill out i don actually believe this i jus think its cool to think about lol
so act normal ppl!!!!!
say wat u think of the idea and not wat u think of me!!!!!
read the shit above people!!!!

Tips and tricks for writing an effective TV show synopsis/treatment?

Script Writing Tips
magnana2002 asked:

I am looking for resources detailing tips and tricks for writing an effective synopsis/treatment for the purpose of pitching a TV show idea to a network. I am NOT interested in anything overly ‘American’ in style as it will be pitched to an African network, so local information would be most sought after. Anything that is valuable though from anywhere is fine. I would appreciate some online guides which are available in addition to information available in books/texts/papers/essays on the subject. I don’t need info on contact numbers for networks etc, just tips and tricks from anybody who knows something about Game show treatments; successful industry insiders and ‘pitchers’ on how to get noticed from the crowd and how best to convey your idea. In case it helps: the type of show that is to be pitched is comedy/infotainment, with both scripted and reality elements and would be 6-8 60 minute episodes or similar.
the whereabout of a sample treatment would appreciated!
